The following are some of the more commonly asked questions.
What does "STEM" stand for?
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
What is the "Corridor"?
The "Corridor" in the name is a reference to Eastern Iowa's Technology Corridor. This is a region of growth, particularly in technology, stretched between the Cedar Rapids metropolitan area and the Iowa City/Coralville metropolitan area. Interstate highway 380 connects these two areas and makes for easy transportation.
Those two areas may be the traditional north and south ends, but the Corridor includes the surrounding counties and rural areas as well. With good schools, scenic country-side, and growing industry, the Corridor is an ideal place for the latest technology.
